Hello there, I want to enter a rather complex position and before that I wanted to get some advice on things I may have overlooked. Here are some basic info:
I believe that the EUR will not appreciate significantly against the USD for now.
I have €6000 in my IBKR brokerage account earning 0 interest and I want that to change
My account is worth approximately €45000 and is on margin. I still have €20k+ margin left.
Buying bonds isn't a good solution because of how they are taxed where I live.
Here is the position I would like to take on:
SHORT Box spread on AEX in order to borrow €6500 with an expiration time T and at eurozone interest rates
AEX has en European-style exercise and the base currency is EUR.
Brokerage fees should be approximately €6 for opening and €6 for closing.
SELL /M6E futures (worth 1/10th of a /6E future, i.e. €12500) to get dollars
Also, since the future is worth a bit more than the current exchange rate, I pocket some additional profit.
LONG box spread on SPX in order to lend the equivalent of €12500 with an expiration time T
SPX has a European-style exercise and the base currency is USD
The times T should be identical or at least very close to each other of course. I hope to achieve the following:
Earn interest at USD rate
Pay interest at EUR rate
Keep brokerage fees low
Earn a bit extra from the futures sale (forward price is higher than current price)
Profit some if the EUR goes down through the sale of the future.
The risks I see:
Brokerage fee and spreads eating away my profit
I can't do all these transactions simultaneously, so I have no way to guarantee a specific spread when executing.
EUR going up
This is a risk inherent to the position that I am willing to take.
Can I have your opinion on this play? Perhaps you have another way to achieve similar results with less steps?

Scalping Forex using a razor account or a spread betting account? Please HELP
I have a question. I use Pepperstones razor account (takes commission per trade) and realise this account would get taxed (uk) unlike spreadbetting. Can you use a spreadbetting account to scalp or is it much harder because larger spread? Also I realised a certain lot size on the razor account for a currency pair does not work out to be the same size trade when placing a trade on a spreadbetting account. So how would I work out lot size when scalping using a spreadbetting account on MT4?
